Major System Repair & Automation Upgrade

The problem

The property manager for a residence in City Beach contacted us after the garage door became completely inoperable due to snapped cables. When lift cables fail, the door can quickly lose balance and become unsafe to operate, often placing significant strain on the springs, drums, and motor system.

What we found

Upon arrival, our technician conducted a full inspection and identified several components that had deteriorated due to the sudden loss of cable tension. In addition to the broken cables, the torsion springs and drum assembly were showing wear, and the existing motor was no longer operating reliably under load.

What we did

To restore safe, dependable operation, we conducted a comprehensive system repair. This included installing a new pair of torsion springs, replacing the lift cables, and fitting XL cable drums to ensure proper cable tracking and balanced lifting. The garage door system was then serviced to realign and recalibrate all moving components.

Due to the age and condition of the existing automation system, a new Jaytech 1200N motor was also installed to provide a stronger lifting capacity and smoother daily operation. Three new remotes were supplied and programmed to complete the upgraded automation system.

Following installation, the door was fully rebalanced and tested through multiple operational cycles to ensure safe, stable, and reliable performance.

The result was a completely restored garage door system with renewed lifting strength, modern automation, and improved long-term reliability for the property.
