D Residential Group engaged us to attend a property in North Perth after the tenant reported visible panel separation within the garage door. Structural separation between panels can place additional strain on the system and, if left unaddressed, may lead to further damage or unsafe operation.
Upon inspection, our technician identified multiple compromised hinges contributing to the misalignment and separation. Hinges play a critical role in maintaining panel connection and distributing movement evenly during operation. When weakened or damaged, they can cause uneven travel and stress across the door.
We replaced four hinges to restore proper structural support and carried out a full door service (FDS) to realign and recalibrate the system. The service included mechanical inspection, adjustment of moving components, and operational testing to ensure safe and smooth performance.
Following completion, the panels were securely reconnected and the door was operating with improved stability and correct alignment.
The result was a structurally reinforced door system, restored to safe and reliable daily use for the tenant.
