About this Project
The homeowner in Ellenbrook contacted us after experiencing operational issues with their garage door. The door had begun to catch during travel, and the control response from the wall remote was inconsistent, indicating both mechanical wear and communication faults.
During the scheduled visit, our technician conducted a full door service to assess the mechanical and structural condition of the system. The inspection revealed three damaged plastic hinges, which were causing the door panels to separate slightly during operation. Compromised hinges can place additional strain on the door’s movement, leading to misalignment and premature wear.
To restore safe and stable operation, we replaced all three hinges, ensuring proper panel support and even distribution of movement. The lift cables were also found to be worn and were replaced to ensure balanced lifting and smooth travel across the full operation cycle.
In addition, a new Centurion-compatible wall remote was supplied and programmed to resolve the control issues the homeowner had been experiencing.
Once all components were installed, the system was recalibrated, lubricated, and tested through multiple cycles to confirm smooth, safe, and reliable performance.
The result was a fully reinforced garage door system with improved panel stability, balanced lifting, and restored control functionality for everyday use.
