About This Project
The homeowner in Thornlie contacted us after their garage door cable snapped, causing the door to come out of its tracks and become unsafe to operate. When lift cables fail, the door can lose balance quickly, placing uneven weight on the tracks and hardware, and often causing it to derail.
Upon arrival, our technician conducted a full inspection of the system to assess the extent of the damage. The snapped cable had caused the door to shift out of alignment, and additional stress had been placed on the bottom brackets and rollers.
To restore safe operation, the door was carefully reset back into its tracks, and a new lift cable was installed. The bottom brackets were also replaced to ensure the cables were securely anchored, and a new pair of rollers was fitted to improve smooth travel along the tracks.
A full door service was completed to check alignment, lubricate moving components, and rebalance the door to ensure reliable performance.
After repairs, the system was tested through multiple cycles to confirm smooth, stable operation.
The result was a safely restored garage door system, with proper alignment and dependable day-to-day functionality.
