Project Overview
Our team recently attended a property in Cottesloe to upgrade an ageing industrial roller door motor system that was becoming outdated and no longer provided the level of reliability and functionality the customer required.
The customer contacted Slide & Glide Garage Doors looking for a modern solution that would provide smoother operation, improved reliability, and updated safety features for his heavy-duty roller door system.
The Challenge
The existing motor system was older technology and had reached the point where an upgrade was the most practical long-term solution. As with many commercial and industrial roller door applications, selecting the correct motor is critical to ensure safe and efficient operation, particularly when dealing with larger and heavier doors.
Our industrial door specialist attended the site to assess the setup, confirm compatibility, and recommend the most suitable replacement motor for the door’s size, weight, and frequency of use.
The Solution
After completing a full assessment, we supplied and installed a:
E-Drive MyQ RSO L/C 1.0HP 240V Single Phase C10A Right-Hand Drive Motor
This industrial-grade motor provides:

As part of the upgrade, we also supplied and installed new PE Safety Beams, providing an additional layer of protection by detecting obstructions and preventing accidental door closure.
